She is the product of a rather sheltered upbringing, being the youngest of several siblings. Many of the typical milestones or events one might experience growing up in Lorelei's village somehow completely missed her. Still other experiences served to shape her, for better or for worse. She developed a stutter very early in life, and has since been unable to work past it.Despite many heartbreaks and disappointments, Lorelei always wants to believe the best in people. Unfortunately, this also means she is rather easily tricked, and has found herself in more than one sticky situation. As much as she loves learning, she doesn't seem to take life's most important lessons to heart. Rather than being wary, she still trusts openly. Instead of calling for help, she'll blindly rush in to protect people. Even if someone disappoints or betrays her, she'll forgive, and forgive, and forgive...

Background

There is not much to tell of Lorelei's life before she arrived in Eorzea. Not because her life was boring, but because she tends to shy away from revealing any details about the life she left behind.In Eorzea, however, she has found a new home. Through a series of misadventures, she's made many new friends. Some fleeting, some she would lay down her life for. That motivation to protect her friends has nudged her in an unexpected direction - to herself, anyway. One of her dearest friends has helped her take up training with a sword, and another, a gun. One can only guess where this path might lead...Her true passion, she has come to discover, is baking. Not only is the result a variety of delicious confections, it tends to make people happy, as well! At present, she is on the lookout for a location to possibly open a bakery.

  • 25+ only OOC. 21+ IC is fine.

  • Real life and RP are not the same. Do not expect my feelings to reflect Lorelei's, and vice versa. She is naive, I am not.

  • Long term or short term. I prefer pushing a story I can sink my teeth into, but I'm not opposed to 'popcorn' RP, either. And sometimes, people, characters, and/or writing styles just don't jive as well as we hoped. That's okay!

  • While I don't hold strict rules about post matching, I do expect effort. That doesn't necessarily mean mult-para every time, but it means, give me something to work with, please! This is not an invitation to info dump, but just... make it meaningful.

  • I like the lore of FFXIV. One might even say I love it. I'm by no means an expert, but I prefer to abide by the lore as closely as I can. There are, of course, exceptions (especially when it's more speculation about things hinted at in the MSQ so far), but let's just say... I'm not interested in characters who blatantly break the lore.

  • I also RP in Discord, but I would prefer to get to know you, first!
